As part of the third term curriculum in the Radio course, my class was instructed to produce a package on climate change or sustainability. These packages are going to be part of a series which will be aired on Eastern Cape radio station, Algoa FM. I produced a package on soil erosion in the Eastern Cape, a key issue I identified in the province.
Soil erosion has become a serious challenge facing the agricultural sector of the Eastern Cape. While there have been measures taken to counter soil erosion, farmers and communal land owners in the inner region of the province are seeing an increase fo this problem. Litha Mpondwana compiled this report.
